The heartbeat of One Accord Church

“Reaching Seekers and Building Believers” defines the heartbeat of One Accord Church. We are dedicated to helping those who are searching discover the hope and salvation found in Jesus Christ, while intentionally developing believers into spiritually mature disciples who know God’s Word, reflect Christ’s character, and advance His Kingdom in the world.

Our vision is to reach seekers with the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ and build believers into mature, faithful disciples who love God, love people, and advance His Kingdom. United in one accord through the power of the Holy Spirit, we strive to be a Christ-honoring, Bible-believing church that proclaims truth, cultivates spiritual growth, and equips every believer to serve and share their faith.

Our Purpose: Bringing His Presence to every heart and soul, demonstrating His Kingdom in every way possible, and sharing the greatest news the world could ever experience—the Gospel.

Reaching Seekers

We are committed to sharing the Gospel with those searching for truth, hope, purpose, and a relationship with God. One Accord Church seeks to be a welcoming, Christ-centered community where people can encounter God’s love, hear biblical truth, respond to the Gospel, and be transformed.

Building Believers

We are committed to helping followers of Christ grow in faith and become mature disciples. Through faithful teaching of Scripture, prayer, worship, fellowship, and service, believers are encouraged to deepen their relationship with Christ, develop spiritual maturity, and live out their faith. The goal is not simply conversion, but transformation into devoted disciples who glorify God and make disciples of others.

How we live it out

Our Strategic Focus

These commitments shape how we follow Jesus and serve people together.

Following Jesus — complete dependence on Him

John 12:26; Mark 8:34; Galatians 5:25

  • We rely on the Holy Spirit and seek God’s direction in all we do.
  • We engage in spiritual disciplines daily.
  • We pray regularly.
  • We reflect Christ in our interactions with one another.

Loving People — everyone matters to God

Luke 5:30–32; Luke 15

  • We help people find and follow Jesus.
  • We are known by what we are for, not what we are against.
  • We care for the hurting and broken.
  • We serve others even when it is not convenient.

Taking Next Steps — becoming, not arriving

Colossians 2:6–7; 2 Peter 1:5–8; James 1:22–25

  • We believe everyone has a next step.
  • We take responsibility for our own growth and development.
  • We are always in a posture of learning.
  • We practice empathy, patience, and grace for each other’s journeys.

Growing Younger — elevating the next generation

Psalm 145:4; Deuteronomy 6:6–9; 1 Timothy 4:12

  • We believe no one is too young to lead, and no one is too old to learn.
  • We celebrate our investment in kids and students.
  • We engage young adults in every area of ministry.
  • We seek apprentices and look to replace ourselves.
  • We serve a multigenerational congregation.

Being Authentic — bringing all of who we are

1 Samuel 16:7; Romans 8:1–2; Ephesians 2:10

  • We seek to continuously grow in self-awareness.
  • We do not expect perfection—we welcome questions and doubts.
  • We value people over product.
  • We offer God our best, most creative work and leave the results to Him.
